Hi Wayne, and thank you for all your comments! I agree that what is called 'tension' is really anxiety/stress (or as Eckhart Tolle says, "Being here but wanting to be there"). I really like your coping technique, and one of my future posts is on the question of whether/when to observe thoughts and when it's helpful to be able to STOP them briefly, just for respite. I hope there's less tension in your life today.
